        "If I should not survive, how I die will show me who I really am." Etty’s journals, written by a young Jewish Dutch woman writing in German occupied Holland during the Second World war represent "the essence of the human spirit—the indomitability of hope.” 
This is a one-woman performance by the acclaimed actress Susan Stein of the diaries of Etty Hillesum. In this intimate play, Etty asks us what it means to be human.

Hamakom, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation (107 W. Barcelona @Galisteo) The performance will be following by an inter-faith audience conversation with Susan about social justice, resistance, ethical dilemmas, and personal responsibility.
