A few quick news bites: Dr. Steve Goldstein is the new president of the University of New Mexico. Amir Tibon, "The Gates of Gaza" Haaretz journalist who survived Oct. 7th with his family at Kibbutz Nahal Oz and was interviewed by Bonnie Ellinger as part of the Distinguished Lecture Series, is one of four 2026 Sami Rohr book award finalists. The Neue Gallerie was bought by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Oh! And soon we will find out our NMJJ writers' awards, tba at the American Jewish Press Association Rockower Awards Banquet in NYC at the Center for Jewish History. Stay tuned.
